I've been having less time to work on my photos from the trip so there are still some that I have to upload. Here are a couple more photos from the trip.
I managed to capture this Dragonfly in a number of poses and this is one of them. I had to use manual focusing with my 55-200mm lens and was quick enough to capture it before it flew away. Believe it or not this photo actually looks a lot better in Black and White than color because the detail in the wings actually comes out more like this.

This is a city that's located on the Puntarenas province of Costa Rica. With an altitude of aproximately 4Km above sea level this is place that has a very warm weather and isn't as developed as San Jose and Heredia are.
From San Jose, Costa Rica's capital, is a 7 hour bus ride or 45 minutes on a small plane but the bus ride is the cheapest method since it charges around US$20 for a round trip. I took the chance to take some photos since it would be great as a change from the city photos that I usually take.
My laptop decided that it wouldn't want to copy the photos onto my USB thumb drive so only a few got copied over and since I currently don't have internet access at home I'm unable to upload them from there. So these are some of my most favorite photos from the set.
This was taken on the backyard of my girlfriend's mother's house. There are chickens, ducks and pigs in the backyard and those are the same chickens that they eat when making anything with chicken and also the eggs they lay. I know that some people will be grossed out by that…but that's life around here and it's nothing new to me since my grandma, from my mother's side, also did the same and also my dad's aunt has chickens in her backyard. This was processed with Boutwell's Totally Rad Actions and I used the f/zero action for the blur effect and also Boutwell's Magic Glasses.
