I‘m Luis Murillo, a Technical Consultant and Photographer. I specialize in the Tape and Optical storage area and also in software support for a big international company. Besides my passion for technology I’ve taken up photography as a serious hobby and shoot primarily on film.
I currently live in Costa Rica, Central America. I work, play and live here. Most of my photography is done in the natural scenery that Costa Rica is so famous for, there are some photography from other locations like the US and Taiwan.
I specialize mostly on portraits, event photos and artistic photography. Making photographs using film, 135 and 120 format, has really helped me to slow down and think more about the image than the technical details thus improving my artistic photography and vision.
This blog was originally created back when I was still taking my programming courses in the university, I would just write about the projects and explain the issues and solutions, but after the whole university was left on hold there were no more projects to post and to be honest I have been busy with other things and have left programming a little bit on the side, so I went on to writing about anything else that bothers me or that I consider good enough to write an article about. Also, since I’ve gotten into photography, I’ll be writing about the photos that I take or new things that I learn from the subject.
Well, that’s because I’m not much of a writer when it comes to…well, anything really. I have written some material before but nothing that complex or interesting. I also have other things to do and my blog is just a space and something I like to do sometimes so that’s basically why I don’t update everyday or every week. Though I’m working to getting a post at least twice a week.
Well you can use my photos as long as you give credit where it’s due and don’t use it for profit or any public advertisement. If you would like to use any of my photos for commercial ads or related reasons please contact me previously to get a written permission from me. If you would like to link the photo on your blog or would like to print it feel free to do so and if you post it on a blog just write to me so that I can visit your post and link to it from my blog.
Sure, just write to me and I can process the photo at a bigger resolution. Once again the above applies so please also state the reason for the request.
