First, last week the Julia Nunes CDs arrived at my parent’s house which made me really happy since I’ve been expecting them for quite a while…if you don’t know who she is then you might want to check her out on YouTube, she’s a song writter and singer and also plays the ukelele…quite good actually.
The weekend trip that was planned with my girlfriend was cancelled due to the fact that the road was closed for repairs so we wouldn’t make it in time for the party of one of her nephews and back to get back to work. The trip was cancelled this time but we’ll be making that trip in about a week as originally planned so the photos will still come soon. Wheather has been quite nice recently which is great since this means that the road will be open.
I went through my usual upgrade of the blog today, using the DreamHost one-click upgrade, and when I went to check for database updates…it gave me a couple of errors and suddenly my site was blanked….like there were 0 posts to be found…panic ensues and then I start to work on this. It turns out that the last backup I did of the database was back in June…well doubt that has the latests posts but I knew that they were on my google reader so I would be able to restore them…no wait they aren’t complete. Luckily I was able to recover everything though I’m still puzzled as to what happened and why the blog appeared blank. I did a backup of everything at this point and found out that somehow the installer created a new directory which actually contained my information but that’s even more puzzling.
So blog is back up, trip is still planned and yesterday I took off work so take a much awaited rest.
Happy halloween to everyone…a friend of mine has a custome party this coming friday but I’m not sure if I’ll attend or not…who knows
