The alarm buzzed at 4am…and it was snoozed like 4 times until I finally turned it off. I got up but since work starts at 8am and we were getting breakfast at 7am I thought what the heck and just went to sleep for another 5 minutes…well that never works. I got a call at 7:16 am and it was my coworker wondering where I was…sigh.
But lets back up to yesterday…for lunch we went to Rock Bottom Brewery, I think I already mentioned this somewhere, and I had the Chicken Fried Chicken which is really good. The rest of the day we spent it at the conference room and worked late so there wasn’t much fun or much to tell during that time. We hit dinner after 9pm at the Montgomery Inn for some really good ribs and some beers, well I had the Cosmopolitan actually and they made it just the way I like it though my friend would say that it’s too light.
Before going to to that restaurant we stopped by BestBuy so I could go do some light shopping…and I had to be fast so I just went in and got what I needed so I didn’t get time to browse through the music section or any other section. So even though I just went to tha laptop section I was there waiting for like 30 minutes for the lady to get the keys so that she could give me the laptop in the box. So yeah I bought two things and it’s probably the fastest visit to BestBuy that I’ve done, I got a 1TB SATA hard drive which I have to wait till I get home to plug it into my file server and I also got an HP laptop with some really sweet specs.
It has an AMD X2 64-bit processor with 4GB of RAM and 320GB of hard drive and DVD burner…how sweet is that. Due to the 4GB of RAM it basically tells me that I have to install 64-Bit Windows to be able to use that much RAM and it does come with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit which I’ve been using for the past day that I’ve had it and it’s pretty much ok and all it’ll take is getting used to. So far I got Lightroom 2 64-bit installed and it’s sweet and fast…and yes that’s the reason why I don’t have photos in this post as they’re in my new laptop and I haven’t processed them. So far the only issue I’ve run into is with Firefox going haywire and locking up whenever I touch the volume “buttons” in the laptop itself. I still need to install Photoshop on it and see how it runs…but that’ll be till I get home.
More on my laptop later
