Well, I was able to finally obtain my copy of Solaris 10. I had ordered this from Sun like two months ago, but I guess that this is the mail system’s fault.
So now I’m trying to learn how to use Solaris and also getting it installed in the Sun machines I have. I might also be obtaining more Netra machines in order to install Solaris and also to have more machines to play around with.
Amongst the plans for my network, in case I can get more hardware, are setting up an IDS, Network Traffic Analyzer, VPN server and a honeypot. There are other plans, but they are somewhat insignificant and therefore virtualization will most likely be applied for these set ups.
So far, this is an update of what is going on on my home network.
