OK, this is interesting. I ran some tests on me and my family members and the results are interesting, now these aren’t professional test, so they’re only for “fun”. Check inside for the results.

This article talks about how humans can hear certain sound frequencies and as they age they can hear less and less. So I went to this website and read this article, which has some sounds at different frequencies, and downloaded all the frequencies they have.

So I told my family members that I was going to do a test, well actually I just told them to put on a set of headphones and tell me if they hear the sound or not. So the results are:

Dad: (age: 46) can listen up to 24KHz but can’t seem to be able to hear others like 18KHz, which is rather interesting, didn’t test the other frequencies though so I can’t say for sure.

Mom: (age: 45) can listen up to 24KHz. Apparently she can hear anything below that as well.

Older sister: (age: 22) can listen up to 15KHz. She did mention that she felt 16KHz but couldn’t actually hear it.

Me: (age: 21) I can listen up to 18KHz.

Younger sister: (age: 17) can listen up to 19KHz.

I’m gonna test this on a couple of friends, hopefully I’ll have friends left after doing this :P. I would like to know up to what frequency you can hear, so if you can, download the frequencies and post a comment mentioning your age and what’s the highes frequency you can hear.
